Judy Rose Custom Writing & Writing Repair Services is the consulting business owned by Judy Rose, hostess of this blog. I perform two types of professional service:
- Writing: I write business materials such as website content, brochure text, company newsletters and magazines, press releases, sales letters, fundraising letters, advertising copy, catalogs, and other promotional items.
- Writing Repair: I review, correct, polish, help formulate, or write from scratch, letters, reports, proposals, manuals, and other documents for any person or group within a business needing such assistance.
Either service may involve original writing, collaboration, or “repair” of existing text that isn’t doing its job. Whatever my client’s specific objective of the moment, I have the uncommon ability to distill order and purpose from clutter by organizing and presenting information simply, logically, and therefore, effectively.
After an initial consultation, most of my contact will be via e-mail, the brilliant invention that brings us into each other’s offices with a click of the mouse. I might ask some questions when clarifications are needed, but in general, I’m good at reading the ideas that are hidden in “broken” writing, and at understanding what a client means.

I’ve told you what I am. Here’s what I am not. Even though I often work with people who speak English as a second language, I’m not a translator. I speak and write only English. I don’t conduct workshops or any type of writing course. The skills I offer come from many years of education and experience, and are sweetened by talent and love. I don’t know how to teach that. And I recognize that businesses don’t have time to wait while employees spend years trying to learn it.
I make this promise to all my clients: I guarantee the superior quality of every written word I produce in your company’s name.

Dear Dr. Renga:
Please take a look at my post “Peek Into My Mailbox” where you’ll find suggestions I have offered to others who’ve written to me asking for help. As for spelling, there are many spelling books, including workbooks, that you can buy wherever teaching materials are sold. If there is no such store near you, you can probably buy them over the internet. If you do the exercises regularly you can overcome your problem. Like any other endeavor, it takes time and commitment.

Dear Ms. Rose,
I am currently enrolled in a duel credit highschool/college course, in which I must write 8 essays to count toward my college grade. Two of which I have already written,the first one I recieved a 97 on my personal essay. The other,I have not recieve the grade yet. This was an anaysis of a critical essay. While you must be thinking a 97 on a essay should be satisfactory I feel as though I still need much improvement on my writting skills and vocabulary extention. I was wondering if you had any advice for me that I could do to further my writing capabilities. I am also taking many demanding courses, which disables free time. I am also interested in pursuing a career in Broadcast Journalism and wanted your advice on what I can or should do to make this dream a reality.
